ORIENT ACP – 907

Introduction

ACP – 907 is a fine particle size acrylic copolymer emulsion. It is finely dispersed and of medium viscosity.

Uses

Because of its outstanding properties, such as high resistance to water, alkali, and weathering, it is suitable for use in high-quality exterior paints, resin-bound plaster, and especially colored aggregate finishes, as well as in building adhesives.

General Properties

ACP – 907 is finely dispersed and of medium viscosity. It is readily compatible with the pigments and fillers used in standard practice and has a high pigment-binding capacity. Coatings obtained from it are tough, flexible, and tack-free at temperatures of about 20°C. They are very resistant to hydrolysis and water and display good color retention and outdoor performance.

Even after long periods of immersion in water, they show very little tendency to blushing.

Formulation Guidelines

The main applications for ACP-907 include:

  • Binders for color aggregate finishes
  • Wood glaze coats
  • Wood paints
  • High gloss plastic paints
  • Acrylic architectural satin finishes

ACP-907 can withstand high pigment and extender loads. Pigments and fillers must be dispersed with adequate wetting and dispersing agents. Various thickeners, such as methyl hydroxyethyl cellulose or hydroxyethyl cellulose, can be used to adjust viscosity and flow, improving brushability.

Safety

Normal precautions related to handling chemicals apply. Ensure the workspace is well-ventilated, adopt skin care measures, and wear safety goggles. ACP – 907 is safe when used properly, following standard precautions and industrial hygiene regulations.
